The cottonwood forest along the river is a great place to walk. The Corps of Engineers labored for decades to turn the Rio Grande into an irrigation ditch. A lot of that has been turned around in recent times. The current mayor has proposed paving the trails and developing the area into a version of the San Antonio River Walk, but popular sentiment against that kind of development seems to be winning at present.

When I had a client in Albuquerque, I would sometimes visit the Bosque--quite different than the rest of the City.

Looks like a good place for nature and macro photography. I like the zillions of fine lines in the third picture.
