Venturing Out

A weekend of fine weather prompted me to get out with my Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slim loaded with some well-expired Agfa APX 100.

To compensate for the age of the APX 100 I developed it in Rodinal 1:25 for a couple minutes over the recommended time.  The sunny morning park shots looked fine , but the dark interiors produced very thin negatives requiring some careful photoshopping.

Wonderful light and shadow play in these images, Mike.

An excellent result all round 🙂
Btw, apologies for somehow missing out my name in the above 🙄😬

Thanks. I have shown images from the park and the museum often in the past, but the little vuws always puts an interesting spin on scenes. This is also one of the few times I have used b&w in the vuws and I was pleased with the performance of the APX 100 which was twenty-five years past its expiration date.

I delete anonymous comments which are obviously spam, but otherwise have no problem with people wanting to post anonymously.

It appears that the venturing was successful. I really loved the original APX 100 film. I have not tried the new one that is available now...have you?

I've only shot two expired rolls of APX. It is very nice stuff indeed. The shot of the sign is a small cropped portion of the negative and it still shows negligible grain. The tonal range is also quite nice.
