I-40

I took the pinhole camera the I-40 bridge where the highway heads west toward Arizona.  The sky cast some nice light on the water.

I'm getting a little better at visualizing what will end up on the film, but I'm thinking it might be helpful to devise some kind of wire frame viewfinder which will help with my pinhole compositions.

Images are looking good despite lack of any viewfinder. How’re you finding the 120 Kentmere? (Will hopefully have an update on using a caffenol mix on Kentmere 400 soon, albeit just on 35mm at this point)

I like the grain and the tonalities. I have had some images with blotches that look like the emulsion has flaked off. Could just be my processing. I may need to try some stand development.

Mike, that first shot of the bridge is outstanding! These look like your framing estimation skills are pretty good. Keep up the good work!

Hey, James. Good to hear from you. I especially like pinhole work because it helps me to avoid redoing past work or mimicking the work of others. I'm also looking forward to getting back to doing some pictures with several of my nice 127 cameras. I still have some of the bulk Portra you gifted me some time ago.

Thanks, Joe. I haven't quite gotten back to where I want to be with pinhole, but I'm going to keep at it.
