Nice series, and a real test for high ISO! Seems you had a good time. I did not know that there is such a nice aquarium in your city.

My p&s digital often is a poor fit with the zoo because it doesn't let me easily achieve control of the depth of field. The aquarium is quite a different story, though. There, the deep dof and the auto-response to changing lighting conditions gives the digital a real edge. The digital also encourages exploration of marginal lighting situations where I might be hesitant to commit to shooting with film.

The Albuquerque Biological Park includes the zoo, the aquarium, the botanic gardens and some fishing ponds. We've really gotten our money's-worth from our yearly membership. I go to at least one of them weekly, and sometimes hit all the sites.
