Housemates

The dog heads for the closet whenever I bring out a camera.  I coax her out with a treat and then have to allow her up on the couch to get her to pose for a photo session.

The cat is not much bothered by me chasing her around the house with a camera, but at age fifteen she doesn't get above floor level, so finding good lighting has gotten to be more of a challenge.

This whole roll of Kentmere 400 looked underexposed.  I think the bottle of HC-110 has gotten tired, so I'll open a new one for the next session.

Delightful portraits 😀

Thanks. I'll pass that along to my subjects, though I doubt Roxie will be swayed toward appreciating the process any more.

Some of my most satisfying photographs have been made around the house. These are some fine portraits.

Thanks. I recall some of those nicely lighted shots you've made at home. It is useful to get out to see new and exotic things, but there are really many opportunities close by if we can just get past the barriers of our habits and routines.

Both of your furry friends look quite beautiful to me. I think you did a good job with their portraits. I think that staying busy even at home is good therapy.

That's true. Any kind of project requiring a bit of initiative pretty well fills up the day. I'm due to see the doctor in about a week and I may not being doing a lot of walking anytime soon, but I'm thinking I'll be able to drive soon.
