I am wondering how you feel about shooting the Leica IIIa now that you've had it for a while? I found the Barnack Leica really fiddly and just could't warm to it.
I've enjoyed shooting the IIIa. The Elmar is quite nice, though I think my Soviet lenses are just as good. The compactness of the camera with the collapsible lens makes it easy to carry along any time. I think the opportunity to connect with the past is a big draw for me.
