I have had poor luck with my C-41 color processing for some time compared with the results I was getting initially when I started with it a few years ago. I am seeing quite a bit of color shifting and red staining. Both the Unicolor and Cinestill kits are giving me only half the number of rolls before exhaustion that I was getting before.

Why do you think that is? Quality control issues?
I suspect there have been changes in the components, but I have not been able to find reports of problems similar to what I have experienced. As I recall, the Unicolor kit instructions originally said that a liter kit would be good for twelve rolls of film. Now, they only promise eight. The Cinestill kit also indicates eight rolls, but then they also say that the kit can be reused for up to twenty-four rolls by extending development times by two percent for each roll processed.
Mike, very nice. I especially like frame no. 1, the cottonwoods. Good luck sorting out C41. The rare times I use C41 film, I send it out. In the past, I used Dwayne's in Parsons, KS, but they closed for the virus. I am not sure if they have reopened yet. Cheers.
I've checked my digital thermometer against a mercury one and they seem very close. I'm going to order a new C-41 kit and I'll report back.
