These pictures are part of the exhibit about Albuquerque's Special Collections Library. They are printed from a large group of negatives in the Albuquerque Museum Photo Archives.
The relevant clues are the camera shape, the controls on the top deck, the black lens barrel and the dates in the captions and in the Albuquerque Tribune article.
What is your guess?
Well, time's up and no one has bothered to venture a guess about the pictured camera. So, the Leica prize goes back on the shelf.
ReplyDeleteFor the record, my guess was that Tito's camera was a Perfex III.
My first thought was an Argus brick.
ReplyDeleteYes, mine too. However, I think those rounded ends rule out the C3.
DeleteThe brick was very square. I agree with Mike that the ends of the camera in the picture are rounded, which means this is not a C3. But the tiny lens resembles the ones you see on C3 cameras. .
