Pretty amazing that he would choose a camera like that for a tour of duty in Iraq.
My memories of using the two cameras I have are pretty hazy. I did a little cleaning up on mine, but nothing very significant. I'm wondering now if there might be something that could be interfering with the full extension of the lens tube on yours. It is worth sorting out as the camera is capable of a lot better performance than many people have given it credit for.Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00776670666673938282noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1423901.post-9156876426333414252018-04-12T10:46:08.247-06:002018-04-12T10:46:08.247-06:00Thank you for referring me back to the other post....Thank you for referring me back to the other post. I pulled it out and looked it over, but don't see any provision for adjustment of focus. It seems like the focus was set at the factory. I also looked through the various manuals and don't see any mention of a possibility of altering the focus of the lens. The available on line information is listed in my first post on the camera at https://connealy.blogspot.com/search/label/Argus%20AF

The whole lens unit unscrews from the shutter housing in one piece. If it is properly screwed back in it seems like it should be ok.

Sorry I don't have a better answer for your question.Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00776670666673938282noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1423901.post-78250255812017378992018-04-11T20:12:49.172-06:002018-04-11T20:12:49.172-06:00These are gorgeous; rather sharp. It was built to resemble the former station which burned in 1990 and the Alvarado Hotel which was demolished by the RR company about 30 years earlier.Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00776670666673938282noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1423901.post-79075558199973453552010-02-21T09:32:36.526-07:002010-02-21T09:32:36.526-07:00Looks like an striking city.
