On The Road

I've watched a lot of phone poles go by in the past couple weeks.  Two trips south to Las Cruces.  East on 66 to Lubbock.  This morning to Prewitt.  None of it was motivated primarily by photography, but I did always have my Olympus Infinity Stylus in a pocket to snap a few images along the way.

New Mexico's economy has been an on-going train wreck for quite a while, but it still has the most interesting rest stops in the country.

I spent a lot of time in New Mexico in the 90s and early 2000s, but I was always working. I wish I had spent more time just looking around and I wish I carried a camera with me then. So much there to photograph. Nice to have these posts. Keep 'em coming!

It is a great place for photography. I wish I had more talent for landscape compositions to do justice to the opportunities here.

Roadside photography is fun just about anywhere, but NM has the blue skies and tan/beige ground that make it so picturesque (at least at the hands of a skilled film photographer). Thanks for sharing Mike.
