Thanks for those kind words. I don't have any illusions about being a wildlife photographer; I don't have the techniques or the exceptional drive it takes to succeed in that. In my photography of animals, I do attempt to engage with their experience in life, whatever the circumstances, and to give it expression in my images. Cats, big and little, are probably my favorite animal subjects because of their athletic grace, as well as their extraordinary perceptiveness.

A moving, expressive picture - nice light and composition, right mix of cat and background. I love the dialogue between the cat's expression and the fence.

An extra barrier in front of the enclosure was recently removed, and the young ones seem very comfortable with and interested in the on-lookers. The mother keeps a close eye on their activities and if they get too rambunctious, she walks over to have a word with them, and they go to the back of the cage.
